Hello loves, it’s Amanda! On Friday, I went with a bunch of friends from work to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It was in that moment that I decided to do more with my blog. I want to broaden what I post about. So, I’m going to be doing a few more things on here. But with everything I’m doing, I may have to post more often. Or maybe just multiple times on my normal days.
Anyway, let’s just get on to the review!
Now, I adored this movie. I can’t really compare it to the first too much just because I haven’t seen it in a while. But my husband said that he likes Vol 2 better than the first. To me, this movie seemed to have a little bit of everything. There was comedy, action, family values, a bit of romance, and definitely very sad parts.
By the end of the movie, I was crying. Without spoiling anything, just be prepared to get your feels killed.
Baby Groot was as adorable as you could imagine. There were several times that I was thinking about my son because of something Baby Groot would do. And I’m not even mad about it. I definitely need to grab the pop figure of him now.I just wanted to jump into the movie and take him.
Now, onto how I felt about the plot. I feel like they were trying to make you believe several different things so that the one thing that was true would have been a surprise. But I guessed it from the beginning. I don’t think that’s really surprising though. I mean, it’s hard to make things surprise me like they attempted.
The only real issue that I had with it isn’t even really an issue. I just have mixed feeling about it. Karen Gillan’s acting just didn’t seem on point. I know that she is a half robot but it just bugged me.
Overall, I highly recommend both movies. I loved them both and definitely plan on picking up the second when it comes out on Blu-Ray.
5 out of 5 stars!
